Winter Skin Guide

In most cities winter is a time for celebration. But the season air is cold and dry. Don’t accept a dull complexion and scaly legs. Win the battle against dry, winter-weary skin
Moisturize
Moisturize your skin regularly to avoid dry skin, if you use a lightweight moisturizer bump it up to a more intense moisturizer, Find a moisturizer that contains, Glycerin and vitamin E help lock in moisture, and aloe helps to calm and soothe. Apply a generous amount to your face, hands and legs, elbows and knees. Apply a SPF- 30 sunscreen before going outside, it will act like a barrier against harsh elements. Don't forget to apply a SPF- 30 lip balm, chapped lips are one of the most common winter aliments. Avoid licking your lips.

Exfoliate
Exfoliating in the winter is very important to get rid of flaky skin, dry skin. You should exfoliate 2-3 a week, you don't want to do it no more then that or else you might wind up breaking down your skin’s natural barrier function and make your dry, flaky skin worse. Don't forget to exfoliate your lips!

My favorite body butter and body exfoliate are:

Benefits of Green Tea for Skin

The health benefits of green tea are well documented. This antioxidant-packed drink helps fight free radicals, naturally occurring atoms that can cause disease and premature aging. To maximize the many benefits of green tea, you can use it in different ways as a topical treatment for the skin to protect against sun damage, combat signs of aging, treat inflammatory skin conditions and soothe cuts and sunburns.

    Sun protection

  1. Topical green tea formulas have been shown to reduce sun damage by neutralizing free radicals and reducing inflammation. However, green tea does not block UV rays so it's important to use it in conjunction with a sunscreen. For best results, apply a green tea formula under a zinc-oxide-based sunscreen.
  2. Damage prevention

  3. Research has shown that green tea can help prevent signs of aging. In a study, the use of a 10 percent green tea cream on subjects with moderate skin damage resulted in improved skin elasticity.
  4. Anti-inflammatory

  5. The antioxidants in green tea have anti-inflammatory properties, which can be used to treat skin conditions such as psoriasis, rosacea and inflammatory lesions.
  6. Acne treatment

  7. Green tea's anti-inflammatory properties also make it useful in treating acne. Green tea cream has been found to improve skin complexion while resulting in fewer cases of dry skin or itching than benzoyl peroxide.
  8. Application

  9. Ice cubes made from freshly brewed green tea can be used as a toner. Let the ice thaw slightly before use and then sweep gently over the face after cleansing. Green tea leaves can be used as a gentle exfoliant. A spritzer made with green tea and mineral water can be used to freshen the face, treat minor cuts, soothe sunburn or reduce swelling.

Sex and the City 2 Arabic Look

I was watching Sex and the City 2 last night, This look is inspired from the Sex and the City 2 Poster.
I used my 32 piece palette from e.l.f, black cream eyeliner from e.l.f.
Take a silver color and apply it all over your lid, and then take a gold color and add it to the outer corner and bring it into your crease. Make a outer V. Take a dark brown and apply it on your lower lash, Line just under the V you made with gold, take the rest and blend into your crease. Take a color close to your skin color and blend it into the gold color, we don't want any harsh lines. Take a highlight color and apply under your brow.
Line your eyes with a black eyeliner, and wing it out at the end, add another wing underneath, line your upper and lower lash line in black, then go over it with a black eyeshadow.
Apply a pink blush, and a nude lipstick.

Skin Care Routine

These are the facial products I use everyday.
Garnier Skin Renew- I love this cleanser!! It has a facial brush so you get 2x cleaner and 2x smoother skin. The first time I used it I could feel the difference. I takes off face makeup great!
St. Ives Apricot Scrub- I have been using this product since I was a teenager. It just makes my skin feel smoother, I scrub it lightly on my face for 2 mins and then clean it off. This way helps getting rid of all the dead skin. I use it twice a week.
Nivea Light Moisturizing day and night cream- Ok I will have admit I am not the biggest fan of these two products, my skin felt oily afterwards even after it was on for a hour, I only bought it because my older sister said she loved it, but it's not for me. So I'm on the hunt for a new moisturizer.
e.l.f Zit Zapper- This little guy packs a punch of  Salicylic Acid, Tea Tree Oil, Witch Hazel and Camphor. I use it twice a day, it works great for my chin area but my forehead gets dried out, so I only use it once a day on my forehead. But you can feel it working, it gives a tingle feeling.
This is a great eye makeup remover! It takes off everything, even when I had a black smokey eye look. It's a nice rich cream, I add a little to a cotton pad and fold it in half, then I open it up and take off my makeup. It does burn the eye when you get some in.

Date Makeup

My palette looks rough, it's been moved around alot!
This would make a beautiful Date Look. With lovely pink and dark blue.
Eyes- 78 palette from coastal scents, e.l.f eye primer, e.l.f cream eyeliner- black, Rimmel Max volume flash- black.
Face- e.l.f radiance blusher- glow
Lips- e.l.f plumbing lip gloss- oasis

With your eyeshadow brush, take the light pink and apply it to your inner eye, make sure you get enough on that you can tell it's pink. Next take the darker pink and apply it just to your middle. Take your crease brush and dip it into the dark blue and make a V and blend into your crease, I also added some black to the blue just a little bit and blend.
Take a highlight color and apply it under your brow and blend in the the blue, we don't want any harsh lines.
Line your eyes with a gel liner and wing it out a bit, go over with black shadow, to make sure your liner stays all day. Apply your favorite mascara, and you can add false lashes if you want to.

Apply your blush to the apples of your cheeks.
Apply your lip gloss.
Enjoy and have a fabulous date!
