Review- E.l.f Studio Complexion Perfection

Create a balanced and radiant complexion that is beautiful and healthy. The lightweight formula evens out skin tone and absorbs excess oil, and sheer formula brightens, mattes and neutralizes the skin.

To use this palette you blend all the colors together.
Blue- Neutralizes orange
Green- Neutralizes red
Pink- Neutralizes grey
Yellow- Brightens and Neutralizes red

Don't expect this palette to give you a full coverage, it's meant to be a sheer powder. Use the powder after you apply your foundation, and then apply your bronzer and blush. You wont be able to tell that you used a multi colored powder. You can also wear the powder alone if you don't need to wear foundation.
The powder will a matte finish which is great for oily skin.
The formula is very soft and silky.
You can find the Complexion Perfection at E.l.f for $3 usd

Review- E.l.f Studio Glossy Gloss

Looking for ultra shine without the shimmer? Glossy Gloss is here! Our high shine, pigmented Glossy Gloss delivers a beautiful sheen and a rich tint of color to your pout. Great for wearing alone or over your favorite e.l.f. Cosmetics lipstick, lip pencil, or any lip color for a vivid gloss effect. The Vitamin E infused formula provides intense hydration and moisture, for lip pucker perfection!

The Glossy Gloss comes in 10 shades

Ballet Slippers, Pink Candy, Sweet Salmon, Tangy Tangerine, Dragon Fruit
Wild Watermelon, Muted Mauve, Berry Blush, Funky Fuchsia, Merry Cherry

These are really really glossy, they go on smooth and look great alone or over top of a color lipstick.
They are a little bit sticky, and they also don't last very long especially after eating and drinking. So make sure you pack it with you. Which is great because the size works great in your purse!

I want to buy them all! Especially the Funky Fuchsia.

Review- E.l.f Eyelid Primer

Preps your eyelid for smoother, longer-lasting and crease-proof eyeshadow. The ultra sheer nude color works to increase eye color longevity. The lightweight liquid formula quickly absorbs into the skin for comfortable wear.

These are the three new shades for the eyelid primer in the Essentials they are $1 usd each.
Same formula has the nude color.
The new Shades are Champagne, Golden, and Pearl
The only thing I'm not a fan of is the Pearl one, you can barely tell that I applied it and it seems runny then the other two, so I'm not sure if it's just mine or if they are all like that, but it still works.
I love using the Champagne under brown colors, Golden under bronze/golden colors, and Pearl for any light color or a shimmer color.
If you have tried the regular one before your gonna love these new shades!
You can find these at e.l.f

Review- E.l.f Makeup Lock & Seal

Increase the intensity of your makeup colors and lock it on instantly. Coat your eyeliner, shadow, lipsticks, blush, brow color and more for a sealed smudge-proof wear. The quick dry and easy to use formula keeps you makeup in place for hours. Say goodbye to makeup smudges and hello to makeup that stays put!

Makeup Lock & Seal is a new product from e.l.f, and I must say LOVE it!
I use this for my loose eye shadows to create the 'foil' look.
I was using the Makeup mist & set to mix with my eye shadows. But this new product is so much easier to use! It comes with a little cup to mix your shadows or to add the liquid in to apply over other makeup.

Here are the Directions from the Website

  • Put a few drops of the Lock & Seal into the small pot provided.

  • Dampen the brush thoroughly with the liquid and mix it with any powder or cream makeup, apply to the face and let dry thoroughly.

  • Remove with cleanser and warm water.

  • For best results clean the brush after each use.

  •  Super easy to use and last's all day.
The bottle is small only 0.53 oz but you really don't use that much, so it should last you a while.
You can find it at e.l.f for $3 usd

    Review- E.l.f Studio Bronzer

Create a healthy looking glow all year round! The sheer soft powders provide the perfect hue of color. Blend all 4 colors together to achieve a blend of perfection or choose your favorite color or colors to mix, match and blend.

This bronzer comes in three different shades
Warm Bronzer- The warm shimmer that will bring a glow to your face. Ideal for summer or year-round.
Cool Bronzer- The ideal selection of matte colors to achieve a natural looking tan. Ideal for winter or year-round.
Golden Bronzer- An illuminating shimmer that is subtle and radiant. Ideal for summer or year-round.

    Warm, Cool, Golden.
This is a great bronzer palette, if you don't want to use all the shades just pick and choose. I use the lightest color for my highlighter, and then I mix the other three for a nice shimmer bronze look but only in the summer. I wouldn't really use the golden shades in the winter because they do have shimmer.
It even works great for eyeshadow for a great bronze look.
The formula is great! Nice and soft and shows the pigment really well.
You can find the bronzer at E.l.f for $3 usd

How to Contour and Highlight Face

Every wanted to make your face look slimmer but didn't want plastic surgery? Well it's easier then you thought!
Create a slender nose, sleeker jawline, and all-over slimmer face. With these simple tricks.
First thing, you want to find a foundation or a bronzer two shades darker then your skin tone. I really like the contour/blush palette from e.l.f. It's $3 usd and wont brake the bank.
Then you want a highlighter. I really like the healthy glow bronzer in luminance from e.l.f. It's $1 usd.

    1. To contour your nose- Apply bronzer to either side of your nose, if your nose slops downwards a trick is to create a v shape at the end of your nose. Make sure you blend everything so you don't have harsh lines.
    2. To contour your cheeks- If you suck in your cheeks, hopefully you can see your cheekbones. That is where you need to contour. Sweep all the way from the hairline and stopping an inch before your mouth.
    3. To contour your forehead- If you have a predominant forehead, apply the product to the top of the head and into the hairline.
    4. To contour your double chin- Apply product onto your jawline and under the ears, and bring the product down your neck.
    5. To highlight your nose- Bring the product straight down the bridge of you nose.
    6. To highlight your cheeks- Apply the product on your cheek bone, after your blush.

    TIPS
~Use the picture above to help you place your contour and highlight.
~You can also add highlight to the top of your lip to create a fuller lip.
~Make sure you go to the hairline! Or you will be able to tell.

    Review- Furless Makeup Brushes

I was sent brushes from furless, if you have never heard of furless before let me introduce you.

Well for starters, synthetic makeup brushes are superior to animal fur brushes, and here are the reasons why:
    • Synthetic bristles don't need to be sterilised like animal hair does, making our brushes more hygienic and hypoallergenic!
    • Synthetic brushes don't dry out like animal fur does!
    • Because Furless brushes don't dry out, they don't become coarse and scratchy like animal fur does!
    • Furless brushes last FAR longer than animal fur!
    • Synthetic fibres are FAR softer than animal fur!
    • Due to advancements in technology, the bristles in our Furless brushes have been crimped to mimic animal hair, to pickup and hold powders like fur does. The argument that synthetic hair does not hold powder is no longer valid!
    • There is no need for animal involvement whatsoever!
    • All our products are 100% vegan and Halal friendly!
    Now onto the brushes!

Duo Length Synthetic Stippling Brush- $12.99 AUD
Use this fibre optic brush for a stippling effect, applying your cream or liquid foundation, or to  apply mineral foundations for that air-brushed look. I use it to apply my foundation. I love this brush! It applies my foundation evenly and giving it a flawless finish. Very soft.

7 pc Mini Bamboo Eco Makeup Brush Set- $22.95 AUD
Contains- Powder, Blush, 2 eyeshadow, angle, crease and brow groomer brushes.

Powder Brush- Very soft, applies powder great. I like my powder brushes wider, but this is great for traveling, and does the same thing.

Blush brush- Works great for applying the right amount of blush, also great for contouring the face.

Crease Brush- I find this to be too small for a crease brush but works great for a pencil brush, and perfect for blending shadow on your lower lash line.

Eyeshadow Brush- This kit comes with two eyeshadow brushes, and they work great for packing on the shadows. You can also use it for concealing.

Angle Brush- Great brush for using with gel or cream eyeliner, it holds it shape while applying eyeliner.

Eyebrow Groomer Brush- Very firm and great for your eyebrows.

You can find all these brushes at

You can also find Furless Makeup Brushes on Facebook

    Pirate Halloween Look

Arr, Me Hearty! It's a pirate look!
This one is just a simple smokey eye with some bronze shimmer!
    I used the E.l.f 32 eyeshadow palette.
    1. Apply a light brown all over your lid and bring it to your eyebrow.
    2. Take a med brown and apply it to your eyelid, don't add to your crease.
    3. Take a dark brown and add to your crease and blend.
    4. Take a black and apply only to your lid and blend, if you want it darker add more.
    5. Take a bronze and apply only in the middle of your eyelid and blend lightly.
    6. Line your lash line with a thin line of black liner and blend.
    7. Line your lower water line, and squeeze your eyes shut so the black transfers to your upper water line.
    8. Take the dark brown and smudge on your lower lash line.
    9. Take a really dark bronzer and apply to your cheeks, temples, forehead, and on your jaw line. We want to create a 'dirty' look.
    10. Apply either a nude or a red lipstick.

You can use this look for a Vampire too, just pale out your skin and make your eyes darker and use the red lipstick.

    Enjoy!

    Tinker Bell/ Fairy Halloween Makeup

My niece is planning on being either Tinker Bell or a Fairy for Halloween. So I decided to make a look that she can somewhat wear.
This look takes a lot of green eyeshadow and I used the 100 palette from E.l.f
Apply your foundation, concealer and powder.
If you have a green eyeshadow cream base apply it, if not just use a  eyeshadow primer.
    1. Apply a light green eyeshadow (1) to the inner half of your eyelid.
    2. Next apply a lime green eyeshadow (2) to your outer half.
    3. For your crease, take a small amount of a teal green eyeshadow (3) and blend, blend to your outer corner of your brow.
    4. Mix a emerald green and darker green eyeshadow (4) and blend on your outer crease and blend to your outer brow.
    5. For a highlight take a yellow eyeshadow (5) under your brow and blend.
    6. Take a shimmer white and apply a small amount under your brow and inner corner of you eye.
    7. For a extra glow in your inner eyelid apply a small amount of yellow.
    8. Take a white eyeliner and apply it to your lower inner eye. Apply a white shadow over top.
    9. Line your lid with a liquid liner creating a high wing. Apply black eyeliner to your water line. Apply the emerald green to the outer lower lash line.
    10. Apply false lashes
    11. Apply a pink blush. I used E.l.f cream blush in Flirt
    12. Apply a shimmer pink lipstick. I used NYC lipstick in Pink gold.
For some pixie dust. I added some gems and used lash glue to make them stay. Then I took some glitter and applied it to the tops of my cheeks and around the gems.

    Enjoy!

    Rag Doll/Baby Doll Halloween Makeup

Being a Rag Doll or a Baby Doll for Halloween? It's easier then you think! Just take's time applying everything.
    1. I used Annabell Skin true foundation in Natural Ivory- One shade lighter, if your already light then just use your reg foundation.
    2. Conceal all redness, breakouts and under the eyes. I used Youngblood concealer in Light
    3. Powder your face using a white powder. E.l.f HD powder works great.
    4. Apply a shimmer white on your entire lid all the way to the brow, and a med brown just above your crease. I used E.l.f 32 eyeshadow palette. Top row for colors.
    5. Now we want to make your eyes look wider. Draw using a white eyeliner like NYC eyeliner in white, underneath your lower lashes, and make sure you cover the lashes in white too. Then apply a white shadow over top.
6.Apply your lashes. Dramatic ones on top and Natural just under the white. I drew a black line to make it look like I drew on my 'water' line. (It feels weird having lashes on your face lol) Apply a liquid eyeliner to your top lashes and rounding it. E.l.f Liquid eyeliner Black
    7. Apply a pink blush to the apples and blend lightly upwards. I used E.l.f cream blush in Flirt.
    8. Conceal your lips and draw a heart shape using a lip liner. I used Annabelle lip liner in Fuchsia. Fill in with lipstick. E.l.f Essential lipstick in Sociable.
You can add freckles if you want too, using a brown eyeliner.

     Enjoy!
